SPARKS BEGINNINGS   Sparks Construction Services is a family owned business providing construction services to commercial and industrial customers for the past twenty-eight years. Four generations of the Sparks family are represented and actively involved in the company that has been instrumental in the construction of many buildings and industries in Houston today. The company has evolved from a Millwright Company that catered to rotating, reciprocating, conveying, and power generation equipment to a full service general contractor. Sparks Construction Services has expanded its skills and services to include all building trades. Inclusive with our construction crafts are high tech services such as fiber optics, UPS systems, and critical power backup systems. Carol Sparks is a native Houstonian dating back three generations. Cofounder of Sparks Construction Services, she has brought the necessary financial skills to help guide and shape the company into what it is today. Her organizational leadership and vision has given the company the much needed stamina to endure the sometimes difficult and uncertain economic climates of our time. Financial stability coupled with an organization that is fluid enough to adapt and change to meet new standards and innovations provide for overall rock solid performance in a competitive industry. Wilson Sparks is a third generation Houstonian with a mechanical technology background from the University of Houston, completed a four year apprentice program with the Houston Carpenter/Jointers and Millwrights of Houston, and served as President for Millwright Local 2232. He was employed by the General Electric Company as fifth tier management to operate their union based company Multi-Craft Installation Services supplying labor to GE construction projects world-wide. Wilson currently oversees the day to day operations of Sparks Construction Services. Jason Sparks is a fourth generation addition to the company. Jason has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University in Construction Science. He graduated in 2001 and has worked with the company since 1998. Jason has served in all capacities and is currently Project Director over all HISD Projects and has 100% participation in all projects.
